Burglars Brazenly Ransack Brad Pitt’s $5.5 Million L.A. Home
Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz mansion became the victim of a bold burglary on June 25, 2025. The thieves didn’t care that the home sits in one of L.A.’s most elite neighborhoods. Around 10:30 p.m., three suspects jumped the front fence and slipped in through a front window. Once inside, they ransacked the place and stole an unknown amount of property.
The actor, 61, wasn’t home during the break-in. He was out of town promoting his upcoming film “F1,” with a red carpet appearance at the London premiere just two days earlier.
A rep for Pitt did not comment publicly on the incident. However, the LAPD confirmed the break-in, and surveillance footage is now being reviewed.

Pitt / IG / Brad Pitt bought the Los Feliz home in April 2023 for $5.5 million.
It was supposed to be a quieter retreat in the middle of L.A. Surrounded by high hedges and sitting behind a gated fence, the house looked secure. Clearly, it was not secure enough.
Surveillance Footage Is Key
Right now, the LAPD is digging into security camera footage—not just from Pitt’s property but also from nearby homes. In recent cases, this kind of footage has led to quick arrests. But in this one, the suspects are still out there.
Investigators are keeping quiet on the details. They haven’t released images or described what was taken. The stolen property has only been described as “miscellaneous,” which could mean anything from jewelry to personal files. Pitt’s team is staying silent for now. But behind the scenes, there is no doubt they are rattled.
However, it has been a rough stretch for Pitt. Beyond the burglary, he is still locked in a heated legal fight with his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie. The battle over their French vineyard, Château Miraval, has dragged on for years.
Celebrity Home Break-Ins in Los Angeles are Rising
This burglary is part of a rising trend. Brad Pitt isn’t the only celebrity being hit. In fact, the LAPD has been dealing with a surge of high-profile burglaries across Los Angeles. Other stars hit this year include Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban back in February, Austin Butler in March, and Anthony Anderson in May.

Pitt / IG / While it is easy to focus on Pitt and other famous faces, these crimes point to something wider. If stars in gated mansions aren’t safe, what about everyone else?
Many of these crimes share patterns. Multiple intruders, quiet entries, and quick hits. In some cases, organized theft rings from South America have been tied to the break-ins. So far, there is no confirmed connection between those groups and the robbery at Pitt’s place. But the possibility is very much on the table.
Celeb Security in L.A.
This whole situation raises big questions about celebrity security in Los Angeles. You’d think multimillion-dollar homes would be safe, but time and time again, we are seeing that is not the case. The fences, the alarms, the cameras, even private patrols—they are all being tested.
So, for celebrities like Brad Pitt, privacy and safety don’t come easily, even with money and status. The fact that three people could climb a fence and break in without being caught in the act says a lot. These theft crews are fast, bold, and experienced.
