At the time of his disappearance, Shergar was one of the world’s most valuable racehorses, with estimated earnings of over 10 million dollars. On February 8, 1983, he was taken from Ballymany Stud farm in Ireland while being exercised by his groom.

However, speculation has since been rife as to what happened to him. Theories range from organized crime syndicates demanding a ransom for his safe return to British Intelligence Services using him as bait in an IRA sting operation. Some even believe he was killed by the IRA.

To this day, no one knows the whereabouts of Shergar or what happened to him. The mystery continues to live on in conspiracy circles, providing a fascinating story with many unanswered questions.
